Route: Yakutsk – Bestyakh – Glacier of Lake Buluus – Turuuk Khaia Cliff – Kyuryulyur Waterfalls

What to see in this tour

The Lena River. We cross the Lena River in the area of Bestyakh (see on the map) two times by a ferry.
Glacier of Lake Buluus. It’s a huge glacier formed during the wintertime thanks to underground water sources. It never melts. The constant temperature is +4C +6C on the ice in summer. Located ~100 km on the opposite bank of the Lena River from Yakutsk. See on the map
Turuuk Khaia Cliff. With a splendid view on the dense Siberian forest. See on the map.
Kyuryulyur Waterfalls. See photos below and on the map.

Itinerary

09:00 – Picking up at hotel.
09:00 – 10:30 – Transfer from Yakutsk to Bestyakh ferry stop, 95 km.
10:30 – 12:00 – Crossing the Lena River by a ferry. Time includes waiting time.
12:00 – 12:30 – Transfer from a ferry to Buluus Glacier, 15 km.
12:30 – 14:00 – Free time on the Glacier of Lake Buluus. Lunch.
14:00 – 14:30 – Transfer to Turuuk Khaia, 15 km.
14:30 – 15:00 – Free time on Turuuk Khaya Cliff with a splendid view on the dense Siberian forest (taiga).
15:30 – 16:00 – Transfer to Kyuryulyur Waterfalls, 15 km.
16:00 – 17:30 – Free time at Kyuryulyu Waterfalls.
17:30 – 18:30 – Drive back to the ferry.
18:30 – 20:00 – Crossing the Lena River.
20:00 – 21:00 – Way back to Yakutsk.
21:00 – Back to hotel.
